Classroom Procedures

In our classroom the students have a list of "Hinckley" expectations posted in the room. There are many rewards given for respecting each of these expectations. We want to have a peaceful and friendly classroom. A student that is not following these expectations will move his/her card and receive these consequences.

Green card = Good behavior

Yellow card = Warning

Red card = Time out at recess

Blue card = Action plan written to parents or visit the principal

Homework Procedures

In third grade, we are expected to complete and return all assignments given the next day (special projects have special dates) When a child forgets his/her work, the child falls behind in learning. When a student that does NOT return his/her homework on time s/he will have his/her homework card moved and receive these consequences:

Green Card = All work turned in / Great Day!

Yellow Card = 1 assignment missing

Red Card = 2/3 assignments are missing - Lose recess until work is turned in

Blue Card = Will see principal and parents will be called

If a child has two of any color in a row other than green-loss of recess
